Onboarding Process

It's Official!

We are committed to working together to collaborate with you and/ or  your family to build, grow and protect your assets while establishing a clear path to financial freedom to safeguard your families legacy. 


Please refer to the following steps in our process to best manage expectations, stick to a timeline and maintain efficiencies.

1. Review & Sign

  • Review client agreement, our recent ADV,  Brochure & Privacy Policy
  • View and Sign via DocuSign (you will receive in an email)

2. Complete Subscription Agreement

  • This will allow us to officially engage in financial planning
  • Review, sign & complete subscription via AdvicePay (you will receive request in an email)
  • Credit Card or ACH payments available


Financial Planning Service Levels:

  • Premier: Up to $1000 per month ($12,000 per year)
  • Platinum: Up to $5000 per month ($60,000 per year)


3. Fill Out Relevant Forms

  • Intro Meeting Form (if you haven't  already)
  • New Client Form (Start Here!)
  • Financial Planning Account Set Up & Risk Assessment 
  • Simple Risk Tolerance Questionnaire 
  • Estate Health Check
  • Banking Form
  • New Investment Account (if you did not complete "new client form"
  • Insurance Application (if applicable)
  • Entity Formation (if relevant)
  • BOI Report Filing (if relevant)

4. Upload Relevant Documents

  • Include your most recent:
    • Tax Filing (1040)
    • Investment Statements
    • Insurance Policy Statements
    • Other Relevant Documents

5. Onboard Financial Planning Software

We leverage modern financial planning and budgeting software to aggregate your finances and plan transparently for the future.

  • Here you will connect your bank accounts and credit cards to get an accurate representation of personal and family cash flow, you will also be able to invite your spouse or partner

6. Immediate Needs & Initial Planning

  • If you have any immediate needs or problems, we will do our best to prioritize those first
  • Once that is complete we will begin with our traditional financial planning process

  5. Insurance Audit (follow this LINK to get a preliminary quote on your home/ auto/ umbrella)

7. Open Accounts, Establish Proper Policies & Legal/ Tax Evaluation

  • We will then begin to open, fund and/ or transfer appropriate investment accounts with custom investment portfolios
  • We will evaluate insurance needs, audit existing policies and apply for new policies (see here how to best prepare for underwriting)
  • Conduct further analysis of estate planning, tax strategies, and other insurance needs
  • IF legal documents are needed for estate planning (wills, trusts, POAs, etc) you will eventually receive an email from our Legal Partners Vanilla, we will work with you to get this completed with ease

8. Stay In Touch

  • We will continuously meet and be in communication during the onboarding process (always feel free to give us a call 913.283.4423 or email info@hdqwealth.com)
  • Our goal is to be efficient with our time, but to work around your schedule. Many of our awesome clients are very busy and our end goal is to add maximum value and give you back time
  • A great financial plan is a living and breathing organism, we must monitor and update it as life continues and evolves
  • We have a MANDATORY MINIMUM annual meeting (call/ zoom/ in-person) feel free to schedule HERE
